Welcome to Straubing City

OUR HOTEL OFFERS COMFORT WITH TRADITION

Welcome to Hotel Seethaler

Our house was mentioned in a document for the first time in 1462 as a brewery and a tavern.

The painted timber ceiling of the hotel lounge dates from 1580. Its varied floral ornaments are influenced by the gothic art. It was rediscovered in 1951 and constitutes an important historical monument.

The oak ceiling of the Anges Bernauer Stube, which is painted with ox blood, is supposed to be even older.

In the same room, you can see Professor Nagler´s painting of the city that dates from 1953 and shows the entire south side of the place.

The oriel which is part of the facade of the house was decorated with motives from the life of Agnes Bernauer by the Munich artist Max Lacher in 1959.
